MOTHER LEWINSKY (DK)
Tuesday 02.07.13 - 17:30 - Pavilion Junior
Using the violin as its spinning fulcrum, Mother Lewinsky creates a different pop imprint full of cheeky ambushes and surprising twists.
The three masterminds behind this grand live orchestra all play in other bands – Tako Lako, Mescalin, Baby and Surf in Stereo – but use Mother Lewinsky as a playground where they can explore the potential in using strings to create a delicious pop sound.
Alternative rock and classical music have been enjoying a serious flirt for a while now. Mother Lewinsky is a superior Danish example of a band marrying up these two genres to create something bigger than the sum of its parts.
Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
