until Roskilde Festival 2014 - 29 June to 6 July

Sunday 08.07.12 - 18:30 - Arena

Piña Colada and Hawaiian shirts go well with Friendly Fires.

The British band has already proven its qualities as a live band on our Odeon stage in 2009. At that time they had found inspiration in Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem.

On 2011's Pala the sound is more tanned, more tropical, and more umbrellas have been put in the cocktail than before. The starting point is disco, funk and pop. Friendly Fires aim with jubilant enthusiasm for a sexy, electronic stadium sound that reaches out to dancing shoes in the back row.

With dreamy synths, Caribbean flavour and a hardworking front man, Friendly Fires are ready to deliver an undiluted, purely distilled summer party.

Band schedule is ready in May

Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.

We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
