DRY THE RIVER (UK)
Saturday 07.07.12 - 13:00 - Odeon
When hearing Dry the River, you get a sense of a rustic musician's collective from the US. Even if their nationality is British and the band members' past involves emo and post-punk rather than sensitive folk music.
One thing is certain, though. This is an obvious new acquaintance for all wearers of lumberjack shirts. With richly orchestrated folk rock arrangements, Dry the River plays songs filled with melodrama and views over the steppes. At the same time the band has a muscular nerve, enabling them to stand shoulder to shoulder with the sensitive acts your mom would like and at the same time arm wrestling with punk bands.

Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
