DAWDA JOBARTEH (GM/DK)
He is tipped to be one of the future stars of the global music scene.
With the praised debut album Northern Light Gambian Night, Dawda Jobarteh combines virtuoso kora harp playing with a sensibility that is both Nordic and jazzy –most likely a product of many years as a resident in Copenhagen where he has played with many of very best musicians from the Nordic jazz scene.
With Dawda Jobarteh, Pavilion Junior gets a different, extra sunny glow.
Band schedule is ready in May
Roskilde Festival releases the time schedule in May, if everything works out at least somewhat according to plan.
We don’t do it until then to make the best schedule possible for our audience. When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
